After the discovery of CP violation in decays containing a quark charm with the observation of the difference between 𝐴𝐶𝑃(𝐾−𝐾+) and 𝐴𝐶𝑃(𝜋−𝜋+), it is not clear
the nature of the violation and the size of the violation in each of the two decays.
A search for the individual CP asymmetries 𝐴𝐶𝑃(ℎ−ℎ+) is performed at the LHCb detector using proton-proton collisions recorded in Run 2. Instrumental effects are evaluated through the calibration of high-statistics control samples. The precision of the measurements is limited by the size of the control samples after the calibration procedure.
An overview of alternative techniques and future measurements is also reported.
