Historic Library Guido Horn D'Arturo

Valuable and important collection of astronomy, physics and geophysics texts dated between the late fifteenth and nineteenth centuries, set up on the occasion of the centenary celebration of Augusto Righi's death, consists of about 3. 000 ancient books from the Physics, Geophysics and Astronomy ancient funds (including 1 incunabulum, 190 sixteen-century and 343 seventeenth-century editions, a notable collection of astronomical atlases) and as many volumes of historical interest published up to the first decades of the 20th century that make up the "Guido Horn D'Arturo" and "Geo.Storic" sections.

The collection is also joined by the Majorana collection, consisting of volumes from the personal library of Quirino Majorana, former director of the Institute of Physics from Academic year 1921-22 to Academic year 1941-42.
