Of the 26 female Italian scientists who made it to the Top 1000, two are from Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. Prof. Brusa is the tenth highest-ranked scientist in Italy among the 26.

Federico Boscherini

During the yearly conference of the Italian Synchrotron Radiation Society, held at Sapienza Univeristà di Roma (August 30th – September 1st, 2023), Prof. Federico Boscherini received the “Outstanding scientist award”, in recognition of his long career of excellence in various international laboratories and his current role as Chair of the Council of European X-ray Free Electron Laser.
