Third Mission Committee

The Third Mission Committee is composed of twelve faculty members, along with administrative staff who are invited to attend meetings.

The Committee is responsible for promoting, coordinating, recording, and reporting all Third Mission activities, and for making them visible on the department’s website and official social media channels.

Five distinct areas of action have been defined:

  1. Teacher training, student orientation, and the National Plan for Scientific Degrees (PLS);
  2. Museums, libraries, and public assets;
  3. Technology transfer and contract research;
  4. Public engagement and management of departmental websites;
  5. Sustainability and actions related to the UN 2030 Agenda.

Each area of action is assigned two faculty members from the Committee as coordinators.
The three administrative staff members include: the Department’s Communication Officer, the Technology Transfer Officer from ARIN at DIFA, and the Department’s Administrative Officer.
One faculty member is affiliated with a satellite campus (Ravenna, Cesena, Forlì, etc.) and serves as a liaison with faculty based at those campuses.
