Research Committee

The Committee oversees matters related to the scientific activities carried out within the Department, which are subsequently approved by the Department Council.

Functions:

  • Proposing to the Department Council the criteria for allocating new resources (recruitment and career advancement);
  • Defining the rules for awarding Marco Polo scholarships and research grants (integrated budget);
  • Supporting decisions related to research;
  • Coordinating research activities;
  • Conducting preliminary evaluations of personnel and equipment required for projects being submitted.

Additionally, the Research Committee is responsible for monitoring and overseeing Quality Assurance in Research and Third Mission (AQ) processes, and for drafting the Annual Research Report and Review.
