Radioactive source storage

At the Department of Physics and Astronomy, there is a storage area for low-intensity radioactive sources used for calibration and tuning of instruments, educational experiments, and testing of detectors and electronics.

The sources can be loaned to authorized university staff who have prior approval from the Radiation Protection Expert responsible for the Health Physics service at the University of Bologna, Dr. Pier Luca Rossi.

To borrow a source, you need to contact the storage manager, Dr. Andrea Ciavatti.
