SHORT DESCRIPTION 

Experiments and measurements in the fields of electromagnetism, electrical circuits and optics. 

INSTRUMENTATION 

  • Optical benches, inlcuding lasers, lenses, slits, photodiode detectors and data acquistion systems.  
  • Apparatus for the study of electromagnetic induction (Faraday’s law).  
  • Standard electronics laboratory instrumentation, including digital oscilloscopes, electrical measurement instruments, ElvisII data acquistion boards with laptop interfaces.  

TEACHING AND TRAINING 

This laboratory is used mainly by second year students of the bachelor (first cycle) degree course in physics. It is also, occasionally, used by other groups of students, upon request.
