Program

On the occasion of the European Researchers' Night, an artistic-scientific exhibition on the theme of the trace, combining particle physics and artistic practice: what is invisible becomes a sign, a shared matter and language, capable of embracing different ways of understanding the world and expressing one's own subjectivity. Event carried out as part of the Cosmic Connections project, in collaboration with Associazione Volhand and Marakanda Open Group.

    Contact person
    Astrophysicist and research fellow in Astronomy Education at the University of Bologna and INAF-OAS, his work explores the use of narratives and interdisciplinary approaches to communicate the social and human dimensions of science. He is actively involved in inclusive science communication, developing projects and practices that use Astronomy as a tool for social inclusion, relational development and personal empowerment for people with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergences.

  • Associazione Volhand


    The Volhand Association was formed in 1993 by parents of children, adolescents and young adults with motor and intellectual disabilities. It pays attention to the existential, relational and expressive needs of people with disabilities, such as socio-cultural accessibility, combating the stigma of diversity, the progress of personal autonomies, and expressiveness in all its forms.

  • Marakanda - Open Group


    Marakanda Open Group is a sheltered workshop located in Bologna, offering courses and workshops for people with disabilities. It is characterized by a "slow production" approach, respecting the different artistic abilities and expressions. The workshop includes courses in carpentry, ceramics, fabric, and digital printing, and offers opportunities to participate in educational workshops and events.
