A moment of silence with his grandfather inspires Luca Marchetti to undertake scientific research into neurodegenerative diseases, in search of the right words.
There are moments when we wish we could react intelligently, but we are unable to do so; we lack the presence of mind, and so we miss the right moment. Luca Marchetti knows this situation very well and tells us about the time when he wanted to say something important to his grandfather Dino, but could not manage to utter a single word. That experience later inspired his scientific path, leading him to embark on a research activity aimed at developing predictive models in the field of neurodegenerative diseases. Even today, Luca is still searching for the right words to say to his grandfather.
