Why partecipate

The meeting will provide an opportunity for in-depth discussion and exchange of ideas, with the aim of fostering new research perspectives and potential interdisciplinary collaborations.

Program

Dr Maximilian Swiatlowski, a Research Scientist at TRIUMF and a member of the ATLAS collaboration at CERN, will present the role of Higgs boson pair production in the study of the Standard Model and in the search for new physics. These extremely rare events allow us to directly investigate the Higgs potential and can provide insights into the evolution of the early universe, the asymmetry between matter and antimatter, and the stability of the cosmos. The seminar will outline the main experimental challenges, the latest results from ATLAS and CMS, and the prospects offered by the High-Luminosity LHC and future colliders.
