Theater The Physics Show for high-schools

The Physics Show is a theatre event that aims at inspiring the audience to learn about physics. It presents entertaining and educational experiments  in a clear and easy-to-understand way, accompanied by an exciting storyline. It is intended for all “children" aged 12 to 99. 

The show is a play where 2 young people go on a time-travel adventure to discover the origins of mass in particle physics. They visit famous old physicists in England (1910), America (1950), Germany (1980) and at  CERN, Geneva, Switzerland (2012). In the end they witness the discovery of the Higgs boson in the LHC collider live on-stage.  The show includes more than 20 experiments which are performed and explained live.

The Physics Show was founded in December 2001 by Professor Herbert Dreiner and Michael Kortmann at the Physics Institute of the University of Bonn. The shows are written, organized, and performed independently and on a voluntary basis by the students of University of Bonn, guided by prof. Herbert Dreiner, Timo Poller and Kristoffer Kerkhof.
