XXXVI cycle: possible projects

The PhD program consists of research activity under the supervision of the advisors.

12 PhD positions are available for the XXXVI cycle (2020-2021).

Four positions are funded by the Department of Physics and Astronomy (DIFA) at University of Bologna. The subjects of the PhD theses are in the various research areas of the Astrophysics section of DIFA. These include: Stars; Stellar evolution; Stellar populations; Chemistry and Dynamics of stellar systems; Galaxy evolution and dynamics; Chemistry of Galaxies and Interstellar Medium; Large-Scale Structure and Cosmology; Radio-astronomy; High-Energy Astrophysics; Astronomical Technology.

Three positions are funded by INAF  on specific projects:

  1. One position is proposed by  the Astrophysics and Space Science Observatory of Bologna (OAS) and must be selected among those listed in  INAF1 PhD Projects at the page: http://www.cosmic-lab.eu/Cosmic-Lab/PhD36.html
  2.  One position is proposed by  the Astrophysics and Space Science Observatory of Bologna (OAS)  on a specific topic  see INAF2 PhD Project at the page:  http://www.cosmic-lab.eu/Cosmic-Lab/PhD36.html

Complete application must be received by May 21, 2020. The student selection will be performed in June 2020. The selected students will start their activity on November 1st, 2020.
